Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hansel(f) was found on the shelf this morning with crochet hook in hand and donning a new scarf! It is getting chillier here in Indiana, so he's on the right track! Super L thought it was AMAZING that he knew how to crochet his own scarf!

Of course, Hansel(f) and a FAVORITE blog of mine with Black Friday fun!

Hansel(f) made himself right at home with some of the other Christmas decor in our house today. Curled up right above the kitchen sink so he could see everything that happens today!

Today, I'd love for you to check out this site! I'm local for the girl who runs this blog/site, but much of the ad match ups work for other areas as well. She does the weekly ad match ups for all of the stores in Indiana (and beyond). She has a special section this week with the ad match ups for BLACK FRIDAY!!!!! YAY! :) Her site is WONDERFUL! It's one of the ONLY sites that I visit EVERY single week! Friend her on facebook to get updates for everything!

Day 6 with Hansel(f)!

Today Hansel(f) hung around the top of our house rules sign. A possible reminder for Mister C and Super L to be nice and to follow all of the rules we have in our house? :) We shall see where he ends up tomorrow!

Check this link if you'd like some cute Christmas cookie packaging ideas! We are saving our glass frappuccino bottles, and I bought cardboard beer bottle carriers and personalized labels. We plan to put our homemade cookies in one side and two glass bottles of milk in the other side and give them instead of the traditional cookie/fudge plates! Everyone loves milk and cookies! :)

Day 5 and a sweet suprise!

Super L and Mister C woke up to find Hansel(f) lounging in a mug on the bar this morning. Super L recognized his name on the paper inside the bowl and asked what it was. We read the note from Hansel(f) and learned that Santa had sent early Christmas candy from the North Pole since Super L and Mister C have been being such good boys! Super L had to try one (before breakfast!), and I'm happy to report that the red Christmas trees are the "best ever"! :)

Check the links to the right to get some great ideas for your elf. If you don't have an elf and storybook set already, there's a link to the right for that too! There are also a few links for games, crafts, and other Christmas activities! Happy Holiday time!

Hansel(f) Day 4 and a cute DIY Christmas ornament!

We all woke this morning to find Hansel(f) hanging from the curtains! Super L and Mister C thought this was....well....in their words, "bad bad" *shook their heads in shame upon Hansel(f)*. They noted, that it's not nice to play and hang on the curtains! (You can tell they've heard that a time or two from good ol' mom :)) Nonetheless, I explained that elves are full of mischief and sometimes do tricky things.

Today Mister C is sick, so we'll be spending lots of cuddly time together. We are planning to tackle these snowman Christmas ornaments, which are super cute!

Happy "elfing" and crafting! :)

Day 3 with Hansel(f) and some Christmas Links for you!

Today sweet little Hansel(f) was found riding the rooster in the garden window! Super L almost lost it, with giggles galore, when he finally found him! Hansel(f) keeps finding himself in sillier and sillier places (and I have a feeling its going to get sillier!).

Today we'll be making a Christmas planner using the printables from this website! Going to get organized and excited! :)

I did have a request for Christmas printable coloring pages. Here, here, and here are a few places you can print coloring pages. Also, check out Elf On The Shelf (click on North Pole and visit each of the locations on the map. There are numerous coloring pages here as well. Pages you can print and color OR paint on the computer (which Super L LOVES!).

Come back tomorrow for more Christmas crafty things and to see where Hansel(f) ends up! :)

Day 2 with Hansel(f)

This morning, Super L woke up jumping around, excited to see where Hansel(f) was sitting today. We searched and searched. We finally found him sitting above the drapes in the sitting room. Super L then proceeded to ask how Hansel(f) would be able to see him in his room (which is all the way down the hall). We decided the magic elves could probably see through the walls :)

If you have an elf on the shelf at your home, check out the link to the right! 101 things to do with your elf! It is a great blog post about lots of ideas for what sort of mischief your elf can get into for your little ones to wake up to in the morning or cute places for him to hide!

I have a feeling that Super L will wake up tomorrow with something a little different than just a plain old hidden elf-----the mischief awaits!!! :)

Need ideas for lovely homemade things you can make for Christmas? This blog is full of wonderful and cute ideas! :)

Hansel(f)'s 1st Day!

We woke up, and Super L found our elf 1st! We of course read the story (twice!) to find out all about our elf! We talked about naming him Hansel AND Gretel (hehe), then decided that he should just have one name (and that maybe Santa would send a girl elf one day and at that point we could name HER Gretel). We added the (f) b/c it was fun ;)
Super L and Mister C have been playing all morning, periodically looking up to make sure Hansel(f) is still there! Super L has mentioned numerous times how excited he is to see where Hansel(f) is when he wakes up tomorrow! :D
We have checked out the website to play games, color pictures, get recipes, and decorate cookies for Santa. We registered our elf and received an adoption certificate and a letter from Santa himself!!!!!! Such a fun tradition for our family!
